Live Music nights and Steak Nights at The Manor, Toton
My visits to The Manor are normally prompted by the live music nights and it was The Crew appearing on Sunday 29th May that drew a good crowd and myself expecting to party. The Crew did not disappoint and their 2 sets of popular 60’s songs had the audience dancing and singing along till closing time. It was during the night I noticed the special food offers and at the wonderful thought of not cooking decided to try their Tuesday steak night and at less than a tenner for two it sounded good to me. Tuesday soon came around and on arrival we were greeted by the Manor’s very friendly staff and were escorted into the restaurant. We went for the 8oz rump which was delivered to our table with remarkable efficiency, but still giving us time to have a cooling beer. The steaks were cooked to perfection and with hardly any fat the steak portion was the full deal. The homemade tower of chips were delish, not the pale greasy limp efforts you get in many places, but real chunky brown beasts, crisp and yet softly melting in the mouth. It was truly a very good value meal and I look forward to working my way through the whole menu.
Other specials include; Thursday Pie Night, Fridays Fish Supper plus other regular meal deals, starters and puddings.
I will surely be dining again and attending the next live music gig to see my fave band “Stak it Up” on Sunday 28th August.
If you want to avoid driving home you can even book into the Manor’s very own B&B
